Why Panguard Exists
The original idea was simple: build an open-source security framework that enables active defense -- where AI agents protect AI agents. But as we researched the market, we noticed something.
Every cybersecurity company that raised serious funding -- Wiz, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne -- they all serve the Fortune 500. Their minimum contracts start at five or six figures. Their products require dedicated security teams to operate.
And then we looked at the other side: 400 million small and medium businesses worldwide. Millions of independent developers shipping code every day. The vibe coding generation -- building with AI, deploying to production, moving faster than ever. None of them have security teams. Most can't afford a single security tool. Not because they don't care. Because the industry never built anything for them. That's when we decided: we're not building another security product for enterprises. We're building security infrastructure for everyone.
